Neuromodulator Injections
Corbin Cosmetics carries 3 different brands of neuromodulators. Each is a different form of botulinum toxin A, which temporarily blocks the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that tells muscles to contract. By interrupting this signal, the targeted muscles relax and can be used to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines - especially frown lines, crow's feet (around the eyes), forehead lines and neck bands. In addition, there are non-cosmetic uses. Of the non-cosmetic uses, Corbin Cosmetics proudly uses these modulators to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Company:
Galderma -
FDA approvals:
Dysport is FDA-approved for the treatment of glabellar (frown) lines and many medical, non-cosmetic uses -

Because of its formulation, Dysport may spread more than the other neuromodulators which means fewer injection points, but more product needed to create the same effect. Dysport can also be more cost-effective in certain settings compared to other neuromodulators.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are injectable treatments that temporarily relax targeted muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Common brands include Botox, Daxxify, and Dysport.
Botox FAQs
Is Botox safe?
Yes. Botox has been widely approved by the FDA for both cosmetic and medical uses. It is very well studied and has been FDA-approved since 2002, the longest of the common neuromodulators in the market today.
How long does Botox take to kick in?
Botox results are typically noticeable in 7 days thought it will take 2 weeks to see the full effect
How long does Botox last?
While it will vary slightly from person to person, Botox usually lasts up to 3 months.
Does it hurt to get Botox?
No. Pain tolerance varies person to person, but most people compare it to a slight pinch. Corbin Cosmetics uses a very small needle to ensure maximum comfort for our patients and precision for our injectors.
What are the side-effects of getting Botox?
Botox is administered with a needle injection. Because of that, redness or swelling of the injection site is possible. Other temporary side effects include bruising or an over-relaxation of a facial muscle resulting in a slight droop (less common).
Is Botox FDA-approved?
Yes, Botox has the widest array of FDA-approvals for cosmetic use. It is approved for treatment of glabellar (frown) lines, crow's feet (around the eyes), forehead lines and most recently for platysmal bands (vertical neck lines). It's also approved for many medical uses and can safely be used off-label for many other treatments.
How much does Botox cost?
Corbin Cosmetics charges $14/unit for Botox. Every patient is different and the total amount needed for each patient is different. We suggest coming in for a complimentary consultation to determine the number of units you may need.

Is Daxxify the same as Botox?
No. While Daxxify and Botox are both different forms of botulinum toxin A, they have differences in formulation and duration. Daxxify uses a proprietary peptide instead of animal or human-derived proteins in its formulation to stabilize the toxin and can therefore last longer.

Because of the proprietary peptide formulation, Daxxify lasts roughly 3 months, with some clinical trial patients lasting longer.

Dysport is generally cheaper per unit than comparable neuromodulators like Botox.
